Crews put out morning fire

Crews responded to the scene of a structure fire on Highway 17 in Craven County near the Beaufort County line.

Witnesses say law enforcement officers were first on the scene, and began fighting the fire with a garden hose until firefighters arrived.

The cause of the fire has not been released.
