Fire crews were dispatched to extinguish a barge fire around 8 Saturday night.
It happened along the Emerald Isle bridge in Atlantic Beach. Officials say old creosote poles, which were once part of the bridge, caught fire. The poles were on the barge. Fire crews say much of the bridge is under construction.
No one was injured and no major damage to the barge was reported.
