Crews Investigate Early-Morning Blaze

A one-time large country home was destroyed in a morning fire.
The home, which was abandoned, is off the 4000 block of Old Cherry Point Rd.
The fire call came in about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, officials said.
The fire is not suspicious; the cause remains undetermined as the investigation continues.
A total of 60 firefighters were part of the effort.
No one was hurt.
The home was approximately 3,000 square ft.; it was not insured, authorities said.
Lightning storms were over the area during the time the fire sparked.
The home is a total loss.
