More than 60 Marines with Marine Tactical Air Command Squadron 28 and Marine Air Control Squadron 2 are slated to depart.

2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward) will be the lead aviation combat element in Southwestern Afghanistan under the command of II Marine Expeditionary Force (Fwd.), a Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune-based unit.
