Carteret man charged with sex crimes

Deputies in Carteret County on Thursday arrested a Peletier man and have charged him with sex crimes.

Wesley Roger Jones, 63, of 211 Pettiford Road, is accused on engaging in sexual acts with two different female juveniles who are known to him. No further information is being released as the case is still under investigation and the victims are juveniles.

Jones was charged with four counts of sexual offense with a child and one count of assault on a child under 12 years of age.
He was placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $100,000.00 bond.
