Carteret Co. man accused of raping 11-year-old girl

A Carteret County man was charged with first-degree rape, for allegedly assaulting an 11-year-old girl, according to deputies.
Lenin Ramon Garcia, 31, of Timberwoods Drive in Newport, was arrested on Saturday. According to deputies, Garcia engaged in sexual acts with an 11-year-old girl who he knew.
More charges are expected for an additional victim, deputies said.
Garcia was charged with four counts of first-degree rape of a child and was placed in the Carteret County Jail under a $500,000 bond.
