A surveillance camera captured an armed robbery at a dry cleaners store, and police said the suspects were on the run.
Bowen Cleaners, on 1898 SE Greenville Blvd, was robbed at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Joe Friday of the Greenville Police Department. Surveillance video showed two suspects entering the store, one armed with a semi-auto handgun, the other carrying a backpack. Both suspects appeared to be wearing gray clothes and bandanas, and one suspect was wearing white sneakers, Sgt. Friday said.
The sales clerk ran out the back door as the two suspect came in to the store, police said. The suspects did not appear to have stolen any money from the business.
Detectives believed the suspects escaped in a mid-90s blue Ford Explorer SUV.
Those with information in the case were asked to call Pitt-Greenville CrimeStoppers at 252-758-7777. A reward was being offered.
