Ariel Epstein

Ariel Epstein joined the NewsChannel 12 team in September 2016 after graduating from Syracuse University. She earned a B.S. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and is excited to be living in the great sports state of North Carolina. 

In 2015, Ariel interned with the New York Yankees where she interviewed high profile personalities such as Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Joe Torre.  She produced short and long-form features that were published to the Yankees website as well as to the scoreboard. In December of 2015, Ariel worked with the Yankees at the Pinstripe Bowl where Duke beat Indiana in an overtime thriller.
Ariel wrote for numerous websites such as SB Nation and Scout.com. With SB Nation, she covered the New York Liberty and USA Basketball's Women's Team at Madison Square Garden. For Scout, she served as a beat writer for the New York Mets and New York Giants publishing articles daily for the site.

The highlight of her experience at Syracuse University was covering the Men's Basketball team in Houston for the Final Four.
