Anna Bulszewicz is a dynamic broadcast newswoman, professional host, spokeswoman, community leader/volunteer and communications specialist born and raised in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan. She is currently the only broadcast journalist in the USA solo anchoring three hours of local news airing on WCTI/WFXI/WYDO. For nearly a decade, she has dedicated her life to the Eastern North Carolina community and its positive growth.
Through professionally documented research conducted in 2015, Anna is labeled “The Reason to Watch News Anchor” in Eastern North Carolina. While Anna has served as the morning/noon news anchor, NewsChannel 12 This Morning/Noon have earned consistent top ratings for the last six years.
She’s produced news segments for critically acclaimed shows, “Extreme Makeover, Home Edition” and “Shark Tank.” For the last several years, Anna has helped kick off the media portion of the annual celebrity book tour for American novelist, screenwriter and producer Nicholas Sparks. She fondly recalls one of her most memorable career moments, “I broadcasted for 25+ hours LIVE on the air when Hurricane Irene made landfall in Eastern North Carolina in 2011. I didn’t leave the studio once. We had to make sure people knew how this tropical scare was unfolding. We had to protect all of those families.” Additionally, Anna has generated thousands of followers on social media sites including Facebook and Twitter.
Anna couldn’t think of anything she loves more than people and the human social experience. With that said, she is continually a part of community projects and volunteer work. She has helped raise more than $100k actively hosting/auctioneering for “Nicholas Sparks Foundation”, The Epiphany School, St. Pauls Catholic School & Church, etc. Here is a glimpse of just some of the charity/volunteer work Anna has been a part of: She’s served as a committee member and host for the regional North Carolina “Professional Women’s Conference.” She is an active fundraiser/volunteer for the national organization, “METAvivor.org.” She serves as a model/advocate/fundraise/promoter for the “Coastal Women’s Shelter of North Carolina,” and has helped raise roughly $30k for Pitt Community College by participating as a dancer in “Dancing With The Stars.”
While you see Anna on the air, she also manages and coaches the NewsChannel 12 morning team as executive producer/content producer/content editor. In the morning, she is responsible for all of the website/social media content viewed daily by thousands.
She earned her journalism and mass communication degree at St. Bonaventure University in New York State then launched her broadcast career at WBKB-TV in 2007 in northern Michigan.
In 2007 when she launched her broadcast career at WBKB, she hit the ground running. There she worked as a well-balanced reporter, anchor, talk show host, weather woman, photographer, content/video editor, producer and production assistant.
She has earned big market news experience at WXYZ in Detroit while training with top news personalities, including automotive guru Mary Conway, now CNN reporter/anchor Reza Sayah and now NBC News reporter Marc Santia.
