A northerner originally from Buffalo, NY, Christy couldn't be more exicited to experience the sunny skies of North Carolina.

Christy's broadcast experience began in college at St. Bonaventure University's campus news station, SBU-TV, where she was an anchor and reporter. She also interned in the news departments at YNN Buffalo (2010-2011) and WKBW/Channel 7 News Buffalo (2008-09). During college, she received the Koop Award, which is awarded to a senior who shows exceptional promise in the broadcast field.

Christy graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011, and began her first job just two weeks later at WBKB-TV in Alpena, MI. There she spent her days tracking down the latest news in Nortehast Michigan as reporter and anchor, and sat down with local representatives each week as the host of the station's weekly talk show, Insights Into NE Michigan.

Christy enjoyed learning the ropes in Northeast Michigan, but couldn't wait to get out of the snow and head south to Eastern North Carolina. She's excited to be a part of the WCTI team, and wants to hear from you.
