New Bern -

After votes complained of problems with the touch screen the Craven County Board of Elections will hold a demonstration on Wednesday at three PM. Both the Republican and Democrat party chairs plan to be there.

NewsChannel 12 has talked with two voters in New Bern and Havelock about problemns with the touch screens. They say as they select one candidate another one's name appears.

The board of elections director says the machines have been re-calibrated and that has ended the problems. No complaints have been reported since Thursday of last week.

Republican Party Chairman Chuck Tyson says he would like to see the county go back to paper ballots for early voting. Democrat Party Chairman Rachel Parnell believes the problems have been solved and sees no problem with the machines.
