Why are local
television stations offering a wireless weather application?
Consumers have long relied on local TV and radio stations for
weather information. With the explosion of the mobile phone, My-Cast
is the logical extension of established and new media. The goal is
ubiquity, with My-Cast information available 24 hours a day,
continuously updated for a user's location, hobbies and schedule.
Where does My-Cast data come from?
We ingest weather data directly from the National Weather
Service including; radar and satellite imagery, weather balloons and
hourly airport observations which are funneled into My-Cast database
24 hours a day.
What happens
when the skies turn threatening?
When the National Weather Service issues a severe weather watch or
warning, that information will be available immediately on your cell
phone.
