Farmers Not Getting Paid
          Lenoir   -  11/2/2009
Some farmers in the east are frustrated, they say they're not getting paid for their crop.

About 30 farmers from the area, say they haven't been paid for corn that they delivered. It was sent to a large pork-producing company, owned by the daughter of former U.S. Senator Lauch Faircloth. Bladen County farmer Stewart Young estimates he and his father are owed as much as $200,000.

Representatives from the pork company say they're dealing with a tough economy, and add they want to work it out with the farmers.
