Military police are investigating a murder onboard Camp Lejeune today. 21-year-old Private Jonathan Law has been arrested for the murder of a fellow Marine. Police say it happened early this morning, but no other details are being released about the killing.
Law was a supply administration clerk assigned to 2nd Supply Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, NC.
Military officials say they are not identifying the victim until his family is notified.
Military officials say Law joined the Marine Corps in August 2006. He deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from August 2007 to March 2008. His awards include the Iraqi Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. |
