PITT COUNTY -

Police in Greenville arrested a robbery suspect they believe is also linked to a pair of Winterville robberies.

Robert Styons, 27 of Greenville, is charged with three counts of common law robbery in both Winterville and Greenville.

Styons was arrested at University Inn in Greenville two hours after a Greenville police responded to a robbery at Rose Nails Monday around 7 p.m. Police charged him with that crime, but investigators also believe Styons matched the description of the man wanted for robberies the Winterville robberies Sunday at Family Dollar and Trade Wilco-Hess off of Old Tar Road.

In all three robberies, witnesses reported a masked man without a weapon demanded cash.

Styons was placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under a $75,000 bond.
