As we move into Friday evening we have two different worlds of weather out there. Deep inland from Kenansville to Goldsboro to Wilson the sun is shining and as we move into the evening it should stay clear and get cool with lows in the low to mid 40s. From Williamston to Greenville to Kinston to Richlands (and areas east of that line) we are cloudy and should stay that way this evening with some patches of drizzle and fog and low temps in the middle 40s. As we move through the late night we should see some gradual clearing but most of us will have some clouds above us for much of the night. Patchy fog will develop during the overnight.

Saturday will see a changeable sky above us. We will start with some patches of fog and then improve to a mix of sun & clouds for the morning into the mid-afternoon. As we move through the mid-afternoon toward evening, clouds will roll back in, but we should stay dry. High temps will be in the low 60s. The northeast wind will steadily increase during the afternoon and as we go to high tide Saturday night (10:23p) water levels on the northeast and east facing waterfronts (rivers, sounds and ocean) will rise to about 3 feet above normal.

Saturday night we will become cloudy all over the east and after midnight there is a chance that the coastal areas east of US17 and south of US70 (Onslow, Carteret, southern Jones, southern Craven and southern Pamlico) will see some rain begin to spread inland off the ocean. Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s.

Sunday looks to be rainy, windy and cool. Rain is expected on & off all day with the northeast wind increasing and pushing cooler air in from the north. High temps only make the upper 50s. That northeast wind will also be pushing more water up into those areas I talked about above and we will have to deal with water levels running 3-5 feet above normal. It looks like the heaviest rain will fall in those coastal locations that have already seen 15" of rain in the past 10 days and I suspect that flooding will again be an issue in eastern Onslow, western Carteret, southern Jones and southern Craven counties on Sunday and Sunday night.

Sunday night will be rainy and windy and cool with low temps in the range of 48-52.

Monday starts with clouds and rain still falling but as the day goes on the rain moves out and the clouds begin to thin enough to allow a little sunshine through...still lots of clouds. The high will get to 65.

Tuesday & Wednesday look dry with a mix of sun & clouds. Low temps will be near 50 and highs near 70.

Thanksgiving Day Thursday will bring us a mix of sun & clouds but also a chance for some scattered showers. The low will be in the upper 40s and the high near 65.
