The world series ended last night here but baseball fever has hit one city like never before.
Today Morehead City leaders announced the semi-pro Marlins coming to town next year.
The team was called the New Bern River Rats but couldn't get enough fans to come to games.
The owners decided to bring the team to Morehead City where the city has built a two point three million dollar stadium for them to play.
Concession stands will also sell beer unlike field the team used in New Bern.
Owner Sabrina Bengel said, "Beer is big. It's just something about going to a game, having a beer and having a hot dog that makes it kind of neat."
The stadium will have seats for at least one thousand fans.
Owners expect to get some summer tourists to also come out for a baseball game.
