If you're heading to or around Morehead City this week, you may want to give yourself a few extra minutes for traffic delays.
Starting at 7am today, construction crews will replace a rail crossing along Highway 70. The work is at the intersection of Arendell and 35th Streets. The DOT says there will be a detour for westbound traffic.
Construction crews should finish the work by this weekend. For more details on the detour, you can go to ncdot.gov.
